Overview

The NHBRC invites bids for a qualified service provider to service, inspect, test, repair, and maintain its fire protection system at the Sunninghill office for 36 months. Suitable bidders are firms with SAQCC-certified fire-safety expertise, CIDB 2SF or higher, and capability to manage fire-detection, gas suppression (basement), firefighting equipment, and related commissioning and warranty work (NHBRC RFQ 04/07.docx).

Requirements

• At least one SAQCC-commissioner-level expert for gas suppression and detection.
• CIDB registration: 2SF or higher, with certificate.
• Membership or accreditation: FFETA membership or valid SANS 1475 permit; registered with BSI/SABS/SACAS as applicable.
• Three reference letters for similar work (on client letterhead, <5 years, including scope, contract length, contact).
• Proof of SAQCC-registered commissioning for fire-detection/suppression support (or evidence of equivalent capability).
• Tax/compliance: SARS PIN or Tax Compliance Status (TCS) certificate; if no TCS, provide CSD number; foreign bidders to complete pre-award questionnaire.
• B-BBEE: either B-BBEE verification certificate or sworn affidavit; complete preference points form.
• Insurance: liability and workers’ compensation cover for NBHRC-appointed contractors.
