Overview

Appointment of a Risk Management and Short-Term Insurance Broking Services Consultant (Broker) for the Council for Geoscience for a period of three years. Bidders should be FSCA-registered short-term insurance brokers with proven risk management, insurance procurement, claims handling, and portfolio management experience, capable of servicing CGS’s insurance needs across assets, travel, drones, marine, PI, D&O, and related cover.

Requirements

• FSCA registration as a Risk Manager/Insurance Broker; valid certificate.
• Minimum cover: Professional Indemnity R100,000,000 and Fidelity Guarantee R750,000.
• CVs: Account Manager/Consultant and Claims Officer/Technician (each 5+ years in short-term insurance).
• Three client reference letters for concluded short-term insurance work.
• Complete SBD forms (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1), proof of tax compliance (PIN) or CSD registration; 3 copies (1 original + 2 copies).
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; JV/consortium agreements if applicable.
• Full disclosure of interests in insurers or risk providers; no fronting; confidentiality.
• Pricing to be submitted in a separate envelope; two-envelope bid format; unit pricing must be VAT inclusive.
