Overview

Appointment of a service provider to supply and install car tracking (telematics) services for AEMFC for a period of three years. Bidders with fleet telematics capability should have GPS hardware provision and installation experience for a small fleet (15 vehicles), offer features such as geofencing, panic buttons, crash detection, tamper alerts, and driver‑behavior reporting, plus nationwide coverage and ongoing support. Eligible vendors must meet statutory and procurement prerequisites (CSD, SARS tax compliance, B-BBEE) and align with AEMFC’s PPPFA rules and SOW requirements.

Requirements

• CSD registration with proof; tax compliance status (SARS TCS/PIN); VAT considerations.
• B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (EMEs/QSEs supporting specific goals).
• Complete official bid forms and returnable documents, including SBD 1 and the pricing schedule.
• Demonstrate capacity to install tracking devices across 15 designated vehicles and provide ongoing maintenance.
• Comply with confidentiality, legal, and procurement conditions; 80/20 evaluation (price vs. specific goals); potential for post‑award negotiations.
• RFQ validity: 60 business days; contract duration: 3 years; estimated value below R50 million.
• Provide evidence of technology reliability, recovery rates, and nationwide coverage as per the SOW.
