Appointment of a Service Provider for Electrical Wiring and Lighting Installation at the Standerton Air Quality Monitoring Station.

Overview

The South African Weather Service invites bids for electrical wiring and lighting installation at the Standerton Air Quality Monitoring Station. Bidders should be qualified electrical contractors (CIDB EB 1+), with good standing for tax (SARS/TCS or CSD), COIDA, and B-BBEE, able to deliver within the R500,000 budget. Requirements

• CIDB registration EB 1 or higher (proof required)
• Good standing with COIDA (Workman’s Compensation)
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or CSD number; TCS where applicable
• Central Supplier Database registration (or equivalent)
• Attendance at compulsory site briefing (Standerton, Igugulabasha Primary School)
• Completion/submission of mandatory bid documents: Annexure A, SBD 3.3 (Pricing Schedule), SBD 4, SBD 6.1; POPIA consent; BBBEE documentation
• Delivery site: Standerton 3784 Sakhile, Standerton 2431; CoC for electrical works
• Supplier due diligence, potential site visits, and SLA commitments after award

• Ensure mandatory criteria are met: CIDB EB 1+, COIDA, site briefing, tax/CSD compliance, and SBDs.

• Include: CIDB proof; COIDA letter; SARS TCS or CSD number; B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; SBD 3.3, SBD 4, SBD 6.1; POPIA consent.
• Pricing: complete Annexure G with a ceiling price and cost breakdown (Annexure G). Confirm whether rates are firm (Annexure G).
• Note: SAWS may require due diligence/site visit and may issue an SLA post-award; CoC must be issued after installation. (Annexure H)
