Overview

Procurement of a service provider to hire office plants for the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure across eThekwini Regional Office, eThekwini district, and iLembe district for 36 months. Target bidders are service providers with Central Suppliers Database (CSD) registration, tax compliance, and proven plant hire/maintenance capability; preference may be given to eThekwini-area entities.

Requirements

• Administrative compliance: correct bid document, compliance with bid regulations, quote for ALL items, pricing on the schedule.
• Phase 2 (mandatory): provide a schedule of experience (minimum 3 POs/awards/SLA in last 5 years) with details.
• Specific goals: Promotion of enterprises in eThekwini Municipality; documentary proof (municipal account/address less than 3 months, lease, or ward councillor letter) required to claim 20 points.
• Compliance documents: tax clearance PIN; CSD registration; registration on Central Suppliers Database; B-BBEE documentation (level verification or sworn affidavit for qualifying EMEs/QSEs).
• Forms and declarations: SBD1, SBD3 (pricing), SBD4 (bidder’s disclosure), SBD6.1 (preference points claim), SBD7 (contract form) as applicable.
• Evaluation note: the department may not award to the lowest bidder and will conduct a risk assessment prior to award.
• Submission requirements: PDF copy of the completed quotation with all supporting documents; late submissions not accepted; no fax/email submissions.
