Overview

RFQ to appoint a service provider for inspection, maintenance, testing, rectification and replacement of lifeline systems in the KZN region on an as-and-when-required basis for 24 months. Bid is open to suppliers with experience in lifeline systems, retractable fall arrestors and safety harnesses for rolling stock, and who can comply with PRASA’s General Conditions of Purchase, tax compliance, and supplier registrations.

Requirements

• OEM certification or proof that the bidder’s personnel/parts are certified by the original equipment manufacturer.
• Demonstrable ability to meet all technical specifications; include proof of non-conformances addressed within 10 days.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN and/or CSD registration; provide documentation for joint ventures, with separate TCS/PIN/CSD for each party.
• Completion of ALL RFP documents, signing of the submission register, and JV/ subcontracting agreements if applicable.
• Price schedule must be completed and submitted; compliance with the 80/20 price versus specific goals framework; BBEE level 2+ and Black Youth Owned considerations.
• Delivery/installation conditions: delivery within 10 working days from PO; payment terms 30 days after tax invoice; site visit flagged as a preference for shortlisted bidders.
