Overview

PRASA seeks a service provider to remove and transport 49 expired detonators from East London Railway Station. Bidders should have hazardous materials handling capabilities, a valid Continuous Transport Permit (CTP) and appropriately trained personnel under the Explosives Act, with compliance to tax and supplier registration requirements.

Requirements

• Stage 1A mandatory: complete Price Schedule, submit Submission Register, and provide a valid CTP Licensing Certificate (or service provider’s certificate with a Letter of Intent) for the business arrangement.
• Stage 1B mandatory: provide Company Registration, Directors’ IDs, valid Tax Clearance and SARS PIN, CSD supplier registration number, proof of bank account, and JV/consortium documentation if applicable.
• Stage 1C: optional documents for scoring (non-mandatory): Audited financials or BBBEE documentation.
• Compliance: tax obligations and registration on CSD; no bids from state officials or related conflicts.
• Evaluation: 80 points for price, 20 points for specific goals (e.g., EME 51% Black Owned with appropriate evidence).
• Delivery/Performance: delivery period to be stated in pricing; "earliest delivery period possible" after order.
