Overview

The Mine Health and Safety Council seeks to appoint a service provider to supply secure indoor storage facilities and related warehousing services for ICT and office assets. Target bidders are those with storage/warehousing expertise, capable of climate-controlled, secure storage, asset inventory management, and risk/insurance coverage; minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience and robust SARS/CSD compliance are required.

Requirements

• Secure indoor storage facility (~33 m²) for ICT/office equipment, with climate control, dust/water protection, fire detection/suppression, and restricted access; capacity for ~68 staff assets (RFQ 2421-1.pdf).
• 24/7 security, CCTV with recording, access control with audit trail, incident reporting and investigation capabilities.
• Detailed inventory management: asset tagging/tracking, regular reconciliation reports.
• Insurance: proof covering theft, damage, fire/natural disasters; clear liability terms for stored items.
• Mandatory experience: 3–5 years in storage/warehousing.
• Compliance/documents: completion of SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1, and SBD3 with CSD registration and SARS Tax Verification PIN (or CSD number).
