Overview

The NRF seeks to appoint a service provider for the development, design, editing, printing, and publication of the 10-year SA IORAG Anniversary Commemoration publication. The scope covers editorial commissioning, manuscript review, and production for a final product with hard copy and soft copy versions (A3, 100-150 pages, soft cover), including 10 printed copies, due by 15 November 2026. Suitable bidders should have publishing/editing, design, and printing capabilities and demonstrable publications; staff involved should have prior SA IORAG engagement (attended at least two academic group meetings) and provide publication examples.

Requirements

• Manage commissioning of opinion pieces, editorial review, and production of the publication; deliver both hard and soft copies.
• Publication specs: A3, 100-150 pages, soft cover; 10 printed copies on finalisation.
• Deployment timeline: final product by 15 November 2026.
• Staff must have prior SA IORAG engagement (attended ≥2 national/international meetings); provide publication examples.
• Submit responses as PDFs via email (SCM@saeon.nrf.ac.za).
• Complete mandatory bidding documents (SBD 1, SBD 3.2 pricing, SBD 4, SBD 6.1; SBD 6.2 if applicable) and provide portfolio of similar work.
• Compliance: tax clearance or SARS PIN, CSD registration, and BBBEE documentation for preference points.
• Two-envelope system not applicable; adherence to NRF GCC with SCC.
