Overview

Appointment of a service provider to develop, design, editing, printing, and publication of the 10-year SA IORAG Commemoration Publication. The NRF SAEON invites qualified publishing, editorial, design, and printing specialists to produce a 100–150 page, A3, hard- and soft-copy commemorative publication, due for final delivery by 15 November 2026. Suitable bidders should demonstrate prior similar publications, ability to manage commissioning, editorial review, and book design, and provide examples and engagement with SA IORAG activities.

Requirements

• Fully completed Procurement Invitation (SBD 1) including SBD 4, 6.1 and Bid Submission Certificate; proof of authority (company resolution).
• Pricing: complete Pricing Schedule (SBD 3.2) or a quotation on letterhead.
• Tax & registration: SARS PIN or CSD registration; tax clearance where applicable.
• B-BBEE: valid certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Experience: portfolio of similar publications; at least one reference/invoice; staff with SA IORAG engagement (attended at least two national/international academic meetings).
• Scope alignment: 100–150 pages, A3, soft cover; editing/design; 10 hard copies delivered; final product due 15 Nov 2026.
• Returnable documents must be complete; include detailed specifications and delivery arrangements.

• Submission deadline: 01 July 2026 at 11:00. Submissions must be via email and only PDFs are acceptable (see attached document for detail) (RFO SA IORAG Publication.pdf).
• Submission method: email to SCM@saeon.nrf.ac.za; PDFs only.
• Documents to submit: SBD 1, SBD 3.2 (pricing), SBD 4, SBD 6.1; proof of authority; CSD or TCS documents; B-BBEE certificate; portfolio and references.
• Pre-qualification: register on the Central Supplier Database (include supplier number) or provide SARS tax status where applicable.
• Deliverables: 10 hard copies of the publication to SAEON, 5th Floor Foretrust Building, 10 Martin Hammerschlag Way, Foreshore, Cape Town 8002; final delivery by 15 November 2026.
