Overview

RFQ for the maintenance and service of two Deutz 150 KVA standby generators at SABS Secunda. Bidders should be service providers with mechanical/electrical/diesel expertise, qualified to service diesel generators and able to meet the mandatory technical and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• N3–N6 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Diesel Mechanic; Diesel Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter trade test.
• Wireman’s license (three-phase).
• 3–5 years’ proven generator servicing/maintenance/fault finding experience.
• Three reference letters for similar generator maintenance (not older than 5 years).
• Warranty/guarantee on workmanship and supplied parts.
• Mandatory documentation: CSD registration report; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; SBD 4; SBD 6.1; Non-Disclosure Agreement. (See attached RFQ document for full scope.)

• Closing Date: 10 September 2026 at 11:00. No late submissions.
• Submission Method: via email only to Lethabo.Nedondwe@sabs.co.za.
• Documents to submit: CSD report, BBBEE certificate/sworn affidavit, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, NDA, plus any required scope-specific information (see attached RFQ).
• Other: The vendor must be prepared to comply with SABS procurement terms and the 80/20 preference points system (Specific Goals as applicable). (Refer to the attached RFQ for detailed rules.)
