Overview

Procurement of a service provider to repair and maintain Lifting Platform (Dock levellers) for 36 months, covering 16 dock levellers across 5 TASEZ facilities. Suitable bidders are SA-based service providers with lifting equipment maintenance expertise, OHS/compliance capabilities, and the ability to operate under a Service Level Agreement. Detailed scope and evaluation criteria are in TAS-FSC-RFP02 (TASEZ/RFP003/2026).

Requirements

• Service provider must be registered with the Department of Employment and Labour for repairing, maintaining and servicing lifts and driven machinery.
• Compliance with OHS Act 1993, Driven Machinery Regulation, SANS 10400, SANS 1545, and BS EN 1398:2009.
• CIDB/SSQ pre-qualifications, CSD registration, Tax Compliance Status (TCS Pin) with SARS; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; SANAS accreditation where applicable.
• Minimum 70/100 points for functionality; must achieve at least 80 to proceed to price stage; three references for dock leveller maintenance.
• Key personnel: detailed CV of a competent technician with relevant experience; qualifications listed (e.g., N5/T3/S3 or higher + Trade Test in lifting machinery).
• Pricing must follow the provided Pricing Schedule (VAT inclusive; fixed for 3 years); three years audited financial statements required for top bidders.
• Schedule of proposed sub-contractors with CIDB and CSD verification; local (NMBM) black-owned sub-contractors encouraged.
• Mandatory forms: SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, and related returnables; declare potential conflicts of interest.
• Contract duration: 3 years; SLA-based terms; TASEZ may amend conditions or award in whole/part without reasons.
