Appointment of a service provider for the provision of short-term vehicle rentals, chauffeur-driven, and bus services for Official Funerals and State Events for a period of 60 months. Open-tender with the Department of Transport; suitable bidders are transport operators with fleet capabilities for funerals/state events and compliance with SA tender requirements (SBDs, tax clearance, CSD, BBBEE).

Requirements

• Original Tax Clearance Certificate (each party if JV/consortium).
• SBD 1 form completed and signed; must form part of the Technical Proposal.
• SBD 6.1 completed and signed; if JV, both parties submit a B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate.
• General Conditions of Contract signed on the bottom of each page.
• Technical proposal complete and responsive to specifications; late bids not considered.
• Updated CSD report; each JV/consortium/subcontractor party must have its own CSD.
• Envelope labeling: Technical Proposal (SBD 1) as part of the technical submission.
• Tax clearance per SBD 2 (paragraph 4) applies to all parties in a JV/consortium.

• Deadline: 23 September 2026, by 11:00.
• Briefing: 8 September 2026 at 11:00; via Microsoft Teams (Meeting link in Meeting link.docx) and at Forum Building, 159 Struben Street, Pretoria (as per tender metadata).
• Submission method: bids submitted by registered mail to reach the Tender Box or via the stated postal/on-site tender box process (per CHECKLIST FOR BIDS.doc).
