Relocation of a laboratory facility, including instruments, chemicals, and furniture, from KwaMathukuza (Newcastle) to 79 Harding Street, Newcastle. Suitable bidders are service providers with proven laboratory/medical/scientific relocation experience, strong health-and-safety practices, and appropriate insurance and permits. The project covers pre-move planning, packing, transport, offloading, reinstallation, and post-move handover.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in laboratory or sensitive equipment relocation, with references.
• Availability of trained personnel, suitable vehicles, lifting/handling equipment, and capability to pack/transport delicate analytical equipment.
• Compliance to transport laboratory chemicals/hazardous materials; evidence of authorization/competence where required; SDS access.
• Adequate insurance: goods-in-transit, public liability, damage to equipment, hazardous-materials cover; full details in the quotation.
• Health, safety and environmental controls: provide H&S plan, risk assessments, safe work procedures, PPE proof, spill/chemical response procedures; incident reporting.
• Detailed relocation methodology, project program, risk assessments, inventory control (itemized relocation register), labeling, sign-off processes; site assessment prior to relocation.
• Submission of compulsory forms (MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD9) and CSD BBBEE status; at least three references.
