APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE RENEWAL OF SSL CERTIFICATES, PROVISION OF SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES, AND SUPPLY OF REQUIRED UNITS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARSClosed

Overview

Procurement of SSL certificate renewal, ongoing support and maintenance, and supply of SSL certificate units for ATNS over a three-year period. Bidders should be qualified SSL certificate providers or authorized resellers with PKI/SSL lifecycle management capability, able to supply licenses and deliver ongoing support, and must meet regulatory and procurement prerequisites (CSD, SARS, BBBEE, POPIA).

Requirements

• Valid authorization/partnership with an internationally recognized CA (DigiCert, Sectigo, GlobalSign, Entrust or equivalent) with proof of status.
• Demonstrated SSL renewal capability and a documented lifecycle management methodology (inventory, renewal, expiry monitoring, deployment support, incident escalation, reporting).
• Relevant personnel: lead SSL/PKI expert with >5 years’ experience; CVs detailing roles and responsibilities; multiple reference letters (3+ preferred) for SSL renewal/PKI work.
• Service continuity commitments and defined SLAs for critical incidents and ongoing certificate coverage.
• Compliance: SARS PIN/TCS, CSD registration (proof or application), CIPC documents, shareholder IDs, BBBEE documentation (certificate or sworn affidavit for EMEs/QSEs).
• POPIA and data protection compliance; confidentiality and security controls.
• Pricing on SBD 3.3; prices firm for contract duration; adherence to 3-year multi-year pricing schedule.
• Specific goals: 80/20 IT procurement framework with 20 preference points for BBBEE goals (e.g., 51% Black Owned, 30% Black Woman Owned), with required proof.
