Overview

Appointment of a service provider for the rental of a 55-ton mobile crane (wet hire) to lower, support and re-erect three municipal high mast lighting structures in Prieska and Marydale. Suitable bidders are suppliers with 55-ton crane wet-hire capability, qualified crane operators, riggers/banksmen, and capability to cover fuel, maintenance, transport andRigging equipment, with proper permits and compliance.

Requirements

• Certified 55-Ton Mobile Crane with minimum 40 m boom reach (RFQ 50/2026).
• Qualified and certified Crane Operator; Qualified Rigger/Banksman.
• All fuel, lubricants, maintenance, transport and operational costs; all lifting tackle and rigging equipment; mobilisation/demobilisation.
• All statutory permits and compliance requirements for the works.
• Pricing based on Daily Wet Hire Operational Rate and Daily Standing/Idling Rate (excl VAT); quotations must be daily-rate based.
• Mandatory documents: Valid LMI Load Test Certificate (not >12 months); certified copies of Crane Operator’s License, PrDP, Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Pre-qualification/registrations: Bidder must be registered on the National Treasury CSD; BBBEE certificate acceptable as certified copy.
• Evaluation: 80/20; price (80) and specific goals (20: HDI 10, Locality 6, Youth 4).
• Other: Bid validity 90 days; late/incomplete bids not accepted; delivery to Prieska; execution within 7 days after award.

• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CSD; Tax clearance; BBBEE.
• Note: All prices must include delivery to Siyathemba Municipality in Prieska; 7-day execution window post-award; complete quotes with annexures to avoid disqualification.
