Overview

Appointment of a service provider for the repairs and refurbishment of existing carpentry and marble countertops at the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) premises, covering Staff Lounge Kitchen Countertop and First Floor High Bar/Tabletop. Suitable bidders are those with CIDB GB Level 1 or higher, proven marble countertop and carpentry refurbishment capability, and ability to provide a lump-sum price with location breakdown, attend a compulsory site inspection, and meet tax and B-BBEE prerequisites.

Requirements

• CIDB Registration: GB – General Building, Level 1 or higher.
• Experience: at least one reference letter for marble/natural stone countertop repair/refurbishment plus carpentry work (not replacements of PO/Contracts).
• Site inspection: compulsory attendance and signing of the attendance register.
• Tax and supplier checks: SARS PIN for tax status; CSD number if no TCS; register on Central Supplier Database.
• B-BBEE: valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit (for EMEs/QSEs) and evidence for HDI, youth, disability, and gender ownership as applicable.
• Submission documents: complete Annexure A/B/C/D, SBD 1/4/6.1; signed authority; full company details and IDs where required.
• Pricing: clear total lump-sum price with breakdown per location; no post-quote costs without written client approval.
• Warranties and contract: 12-month workmanship warranty; comply with GCC, SBDs, and contract terms (SBD7 to be signed if applicable).
