Overview

APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF SMALL PLANT MACHINERY IN THE METRORAIL GAUTENG REGION ON AN “AS AND WHEN REQUIRED BASIS” FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY-SIX (36) MONTHS. PRASA invites bids from entities capable of supplying small plant machinery and related PPE, with compliance to supplier registration, tax, BBBEE, safety, and contract requirements (see attached documents for details).

Requirements

• Compliance with CSD registration and tax status (provide SARS PIN/TCS; if consortium, separate TCS/CSD for each party).
• Submit the required bid documents in two envelopes (technical/compliance and financial) and complete Forms A–F and annexures.
• BBBEE requirements; if bidding as a JV/consortium, include the JV agreement and % split.
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing (21 Sep 2026, 10:00); non-attendance may disqualify.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations and related annexures; adequate insurances as specified.
• Non‑restricted status; compliance with anti-corruption provisions (no tender defaulter status, no corrupt activities).
• Use the specified pricing schedule (see ANNEXURE 5) and be prepared for two-envelope submission and post-tender negotiations if applicable.
• Draft contract terms apply; performance bond is not applicable for this contract (see ANNEXURE A).

How to Apply

• Obtain RFP documents from National Treasury e-Tender portal (RFP 65/08/2026 GAU-PERWAY; issue 11 Sep 2026). (see ANNEXURE 1)
• Attend compulsory briefing: 21 September 2026 at 10:00, Shosholoza Meyl Junction, Braamfontein. Certificate of Attendance (Form D) required if attending.
• Prepare and submit proposals in two sealed envelopes by 15 October 2026, 12:00 to PRASA Tender Box, Ground Floor, Shosholoza Meyl Junction, Braamfontein (RFP 65/08/2026 GAU-PERWAY).
• Include forms and annexures: Form A (Invitation), Form B (Terms), Form C (Pricing) plus Annexures (Scope of Work, Draft Contract, Site Inspection Certificate, etc.). See ANNEXURE 1 and ANNEXURE 5 for details; pricing schedule is in ANNEXURE 5 (65.08.2026-GAU-PERWAY).
• If a JV/consortium is used, indicate intention in the submission and provide the JV agreement or written confirmation (see Section 5/Delivery Instructions).
