Overview

GPW seeks the supply, installation and commissioning of new counting machines (4 of Type 1 and 2 of Type 2) and five years of on-site support and maintenance, plus training and related ICT software/hardware, at Government Printing Works. The solution must be locally supported in RSA, include a five-year warranty and five-year maintenance, and cover FAT/SAT, site acceptance, and transfer of skills.

Requirements

• Two counting machine types: Type 1 (4 units) and Type 2 (2 units), with all hardware, software, spare parts, and tools; Incoterms DDP; on-site commissioning and training.
• Warranty and maintenance: five-year warranty and five-year OEM-supported maintenance; inclusion of wear/spare parts and labour; OEM-trained engineers; local RSA spare-parts support.
• Technical and compliance: ISO 9001 certification; OEM letter/authorization if agent; CSD registration; SARS Tax Compliance PIN; attendance at briefing; returnable documents completed (Sections A/B, Annexures SBD 1/4/6.1, Form IV).
• Delivery and testing: FAT at OEM premises and SAT at GPW premises; on-site training for GPW staff; site preparation per Annexure D; packaging and delivery to GPW Premises.
• Evaluation framework: PFMA/PPPFA compliant; 80/20 price/specific goals; specific goals include Black ownership, Women, Youth, Disability; local RSA delivery and support requirements.
