Overview

Procurement of a service provider to deliver a redundant core networking and Wi‑Fi optimization solution for QCTO, including two Cisco Catalyst core switches with DNA licensing, a CW9800L Wireless Controller for high availability, and a professional Wi‑Fi site survey to optimise coverage. Bidders should be IT networking integrators with Cisco experience, capable of data‑centre installation, high‑availability configurations, and delivering a professional survey and reporting. Compulsory site visit is scheduled 19–28 August 2026 at QCTO, Hatfield (briefing at 256 Glyn Street).

Requirements

• Detailed project plan demonstrating experience with Cisco Switching, wireless HA, and deployment methods.
• References from similar high‑speed network backbone projects (client letters on letterhead, <=6 years old).
• Lead Cisco Security Engineer: CCIE Security + 5+ years’ experience.
• Lead Network Engineer (Routing and Switching): CCIE Routing & Switching + 5+ years’ experience.
• Wireless Specialist: Cisco wireless cert (e.g., CCNP Wireless) + 5+ years’ experience.
• Bidder must be a registered wireless survey equipment reseller or have a resource certified in the product to be used.
• Compulsory site inspection of the QCTO site prior to quotation.

• Documents to submit: SBD 6.1, SBD 4, Quotation, recent CSD, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, completed SBD forms, bank confirmation letter.
• Pre‑qualifications: CSD status, tax status, BBBEE status as applicable.
