Overview

Appointment of a service provider to conduct a fire safety audit at the Tsitsikamma Section of Garden Route National Park. SANParks invites bids from registered fire engineering consultancies with proven capability in holistic fire risk assessments and compliance with SA fire safety regulations and related standards.

Requirements

• Registered Fire Engineering Consultancy or equivalent; must be registered with professional councils (ECSA or SAIFireE).
• Proven track record in holistic fire risk assessments; evidence of compliance with SANS codes (notably SANS 10400), OHSA fire provisions, and ISO 45001.
• Compliance with SANParks and SA procurement requirements: CSD registration, SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or related SARS proof, VAT registration, and completion of compulsory SBD forms (SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1).
• Specific goals: evidence of local (within 650 km) supplier status for points; supporting documents (municipal rates, lease, or address proof).
• Minimum functional threshold of 75/100 in SANParks’ evaluation (detailed project plan, team CVs, and references).
• Project deliverables and governance: GIS mapping, risk overlays, implementation plan, training module, and final presentation.
• POPIA compliance and ability to commence immediately after PO.
