Overview

Appointment of a service provider to conduct Crowned Eagle monitoring on selected SAFCOL plantations for the 2026/27 period. SAFCOL invites quotes (RFQ 890/SHEQ/06/2026, Re-Advert) from qualified ecologists/conservation scientists with SACNASP registration to monitor African Crowned Eagles across Mpumalanga plantations, with site visits, reporting, and coordination with plantation management. Suitable bidders include SACNASP-registered professionals in ecology/conservation/zoology and environmental sciences.

Requirements

• SACNASP registration for the project manager/lead; proof of current registration in ecology/conservation/environmental sciences/zoology. (RFQ 890/SHEQ/06/2026.pdf)
• Latest BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; valid Tax Clearance certificate.
• Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with Supplier and Unique Registration numbers; ensure tax status is up to date.
• Demonstrable experience monitoring raptors in the past five years; at least one reference letter; CV and qualifications for the project manager.
• Company registration documents, SBD forms completed and signed.
• Evidence of ability to provide required materials/equipment; past experience in similar environmental/ecological projects; pre-arranged access with SHEQ/Plantation Manager.
• Specific goals: 51%+ Black Owned entities qualify for points; provide documentation as required.
