Overview

RFQ to appoint a service provider to conduct Encephalartos humilis monitoring at SAFCOL Uitsoek Plantation for 2026/27. Suitable bidders are environmental/ecology/conservation professionals, SACNASP-registered Natural Scientists, capable of field surveys, data analysis, and delivering a final report with management recommendations, plus providing a post-monitoring feedback session and site access permits.

Requirements

• SACNASP registration for the service provider and proof of registration for the project leader.
• Proof of current, up-to-date registration with SACNASP in Ecology/Conservation/Environmental Sciences.
• BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; tax clearance; CSD registration with up-to-date tax status; include CSD Supplier Number and Unique Registration Reference.
• Past experience in plant monitoring (past five years) with at least one reference letter.
• Project manager qualifications and detailed CV in relevant fields.
• Quotation must be broken down into cost categories; prices inclusive of VAT.
• Site access permits (National Forest Act) and pre-arranged site visits; delivery of final report with methodology, results, interpretation, and management recommendations; include photos where applicable.
• Provide a feedback session (Teams or similar) to management and staff; presentation to Komatiland Forests.
• Timelines: project to commence on receipt of PO, no later than November 2026.
• Provisions: pre-quote verification via CSD; ensure SBD forms are completed; submit with the quotation.

Notes: Evaluation uses an 80/20 price/specific-goals system; 51%+ Black Owned status earns up to 20 points.
