Overview

Appointment of a service provider to conduct fire assessment, services, repairs and installation at all JRA sites. The tender targets fire protection contractors/engineers with CIDB 2SF or higher and qualified personnel (SAQCC Fire 1475 technician, SHE Officer with NDSM or higher) to perform fire assessments, servicing, repairs and installation across multiple JRA facilities.

Requirements

• CIDB registration with minimum 2SF rating; demonstrate financial/technical capacity.
• Key personnel qualifications: Fireman’s (Technician) SAQCC Fire 1475; SHE Officer - NDSM or higher; SANS 1475 permit from DoL/approved bodies (BSI, SABS or SACAS).
• Compliance documents: Tax PIN, company registration, CSD registration, certified IDs for directors, proof of municipal rates where applicable.
• BBBEE: certified BBBEE certificate or SANAS-sworn affidavit; for EMEs/QSEs, relevant turnover proof.
• JV/consortium rules: If applicable, JVs must attach all documents and a signed JV agreement; BBBEE consolidation required.
• Additional: Declaration of interests, MBD forms completed; no service-of-state restrictions; tax/compliance verification.

• Deadline: Closing 04 September 2026 at 10:00 (RFQ JRA/RFQ/27/003). (see attached RFQ for details)
• Briefing: Compulsory briefing on 28 August 2026 at JRA Traffic Signal Depot No 1 Henry Nxumalo (see RFQ doc).
• Submission: Hand delivery to bid box at 75 Helen Joseph Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg 2001; bid box typically open 5am–7pm.
• Documents to submit: Official forms (MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD6.2, MBD7.1, MBD7.2, MBD8, MBD9) plus supporting documents (CIDB proof, CSD, BBBEE, tax PIN, IDs, company reg., etc.) and the pricing schedule.
• Registrations/Pre-qualifications: CSD registration required; CIDB minimum; SARS tax compliance; local content declarations where applicable.
