Overview

Appointment of a service provider to conduct herpetological surveys on SAFCOL plantations for the 2026/27 period. Suitable bidders are natural scientists with SACNASP registration and proven ecological/zoological experience, plus compliance with B-BBEE, CSD, and tax requirements.

Requirements

• SACNASP registration for the project leader; evidence of registration.
• Current, up-to-date B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Valid Tax Clearance certificate.
• Roster on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with Supplier Number and Unique Registration Reference; ensure tax status is up to date on CSD.
• Past experience in herpetological monitoring (within last five years) and at least one reference letter.
• Project manager/leader qualifications; CV demonstrating relevant experience.
• Quotations must be broken down per plantation; quotation on company letterhead; VAT included where applicable.

• Documents to submit: fully completed RFQ document on company letterhead; SBD forms; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; Tax Clearance; CSD details; SACNASP proof; CV and references; proof of experience; confirmation of confidentiality agreement (where applicable).
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: SACNASP (project manager); CSD registration; up-to-date tax status; proof of BBBEE; evidence of relevant registration.
• Additional project details: Quotation must break down by plantation; project to commence on PO; completion and final invoice by 15 March 2027; payment 30 days after completion; VAT inclusive pricing.
