Appointment of a service provider to enter into an SLA with Ithala for a period of 36 months for electrical infrastructure as and when required. Open tender for electrical infrastructure maintenance/repairs; suitable for electrical contractors with CIDB 2EB or higher and relevant registrations.

Requirements

• Compliance with tax and supplier registration:
  • CSD registration; SARS PIN/TCS (separate TCS for consortia/joint ventures); if no TCS but CSD, provide CSD number.
• Certifications and licensed status:
  • CIDB grading 2EB or higher; Department of Labour registration as electrical contractor; Wireman’s licence; Certificate of Good Standing for COIDA.
• Bidding documentation and integrity:
  • Submit SBD 1 (invitation to bid) with resolution if not a sole proprietor; SBD 4 (declaration of interest); SBD 6.1 (preferential/specific goals form); comply with PPPFA and GCC.
  • Not in the service of the state; no conflicting relationships; bidder disclosure forms completed.
• Technical eligibility:
  • Scope requires SABS-approved components; electrical work by registered electrician; ability to supply all materials; immediate site response.
• Site briefing attendance:
  • Compulsory site briefing (RFQ-433/70100/2026-ELECTRICAL-INFRASTRUCTURE.pdf) requirement.
• Evaluation framework:
  • Admin compliance (mandatory), functionality scoring, then price with 80/20 preference (specific goals) as applicable.
