Overview

SAWS invites a service provider to deliver in-person Python training to 21 R&D employees, split into Basic-to-Intermediate (13 participants) and Advanced (8 participants). The programme targets scientific data handling, analytics and geospatial analysis using Python. Budget up to R500,000; closing date 14 Oct 2026 11:00; validity 60 days.

Requirements

• Two-stream training designed for 13 Basic-to-Intermediate and 8 Advanced Python participants, with data analytics and geospatial content (as per Annexure H).
• Proven in-person training experience for scientific staff, familiarity with Python ecosystems (NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Iris) and meteorological/geospatial use cases.
• Compliance: Tax (SARS PIN or TCS), VAT, and CSD as applicable; BBBEE; POPIA and supplier privacy forms; include standard bid documents (Annexures A, B, C, F, G, H, i) (RFQ 4632.pdf).
• Pre-award due diligence: approved premises, appropriate accreditation, site visit, SLA with SAWS, and a supplier performance scorecard.
• Subcontracting: if used, provide subcontracting arrangement.
