Overview

Procurement of a service provider to provide Public Relations and Reputation Management services for SABC for twelve months. Suitable bidders are PR/reputation-management agencies with public-sector or corporate-brand experience, capable of handling multi-channel campaigns (print, broadcast, digital, events) and delivering monthly/quarterly reporting. The team leader must hold a SAQA-verified Diploma/Degree in Communications/Journalism/Media Studies.

Requirements

• Mandatory qualifications: team leader with SAQA-verified Diploma/Degree in Communications/Journalism/Media Studies.
• Mandatory documents (must comply or be disqualified): CSD registration; valid TV License statement for the company and all active directors/shareholders; valid Tax Clearance or SARS PIN; BBBEE certificate or SANAS affidavit; certified company registration; certified shareholders’ certificates; certified IDs of directors/members.
• Compliance notes: taxes in order; TV license valid; bidder must be CSD-registered.
• Scope of services: PR and Reputation management; launch events; print/broadcast/digital/media relations; Below-the-Line support; consumer PR aligned to campaigns; monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc reporting; weekly status meetings; monitoring and dashboards. Platforms include Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok.
• Phase 2 evaluation requires: two case studies (broadcast/public sector), evidence of six+ years’ experience, references from at least three clients, CVs/qualifications for specialists, team organogram, and a detailed project plan with milestones.
• Capacity requirement: 24/7 availability for the specialist.
• Location: SABC Auckland Park.
