APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO PROVIDE TWO PROTO TEAMS AT MSUNDUZI PLANTATION FOR A PERIOD OF THREE MONTHS. SAFCOL invites bids from service providers to supply two proto teams at Msunduzi Plantation for three months. Suitable bidders include those with forestry/fire management capabilities, pest control licenses, and locality within Msunduzi Local Municipality. Key scope includes fire standby, detection, prevention, firebreaks, tracers, and related activities, with ad hoc standby and overtime rates. Evaluation uses an 80/20 price-specific-goals split over a 60-day RFQ validity.

Requirements

• Locality: bidder must reside within Msunduzi Local Municipality; provide a stamped, dated letter from the Municipality confirming company/director name.
• Licences/certifications: Pest Control Operator licence (category 1 Agriculture/Forestry); Industrial vegetation and noxious weeds certificates; ENATIS registration with proof and photos for 2x proto teams.
• Personnel/vehicles: 2x double-cab proto teams with vehicles; 8 trained firefighters and 2 drivers; firefighting certificates for the 8 personnel.
• Documentation: fully completed RFQ; official quotation on company letterhead; Latest tax clearance; Latest B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; CSD report or MAAB number; ID copies of company directors.
• Compliance: SANAS-accredited B-BBEE verification or sworn affidavit; SBD forms signed; tax compliance verified.
• Evaluation framework: Phase-based evaluation (Administrative, Mandatory, Price and Specific Goals) with a total of 100 points (Price 80, Specific Goals 20) including 51% black ownership and other targeted ownership goals.
