Overview

APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO RENDER 24-HOUR SECURITY GUARDING SERVICES AT VARIOUS IDFC PROPERTIES UNDER CLUSTER 4 IN KWAZULU-NATAL FOR A PERIOD OF 36 MONTHS. The procurement targets security guarding across IDFC’s KwaZulu-Natal portfolio. Bidders should be qualified security providers with PSIRA registration, ability to operate a 24-hour control room, and capacity to meet insurance, tax, and regulatory requirements (PSIRA, SARS, CSD, COIDA). The contract requires detailed operational plans (guards, supervision, riot response) and an active guard monitoring system (tracking/alerts). (see RFP07/26 Bid doc)

Requirements

• National Treasury CSD registration and proof of status
• SARS tax compliance PIN or e-Filing status (and separate PIN/CSD for JV/sub-contractors)
• PSIRA registration and good standing; COIDA and PSSPF requirements
• Proof of online briefing attendance; adherence to compulsory briefing
• Completion of SBD 1, SBD 4 and declarations of interest; Joint Venture/Consortium agreements if applicable
• Evidence of a 24-hour dedicated control room and PSIRA-compliant security staff
• Proof of Public Liability Insurance (min R5,000,000) for the contract duration
• Detailed riot plan, firearm license evidence, and security-guard firearm competency certificates (Cluster 4 specifics)
• At least two client references for 24-hour security guarding; detailed company/operational details
• Pricing in accordance with Bargaining Council rates; Annexure A submission for per-site costs
• Site inspections may be conducted and contract SLAs to be signed if successful
