Appointment of a service provider to render soundproofing works for a building at Armscor Dockyard, Simon's Town (ceiling replacement with acoustic tiles, insulation, drywall, and soundproof windows). Bidders with construction/building renovation and acoustics capabilities should consider bidding; ideal bidders will hold CIDB General Building designation 3 GB or higher and demonstrate robust tax, registration, and BBBEE compliance to meet Armscor’s mandatory criteria.

Requirements

• CIDB registration: General Building contractor 3 GB or higher; provide valid CIDB registration letter/CRS; if a joint venture, provide combined CIDB status; lead partner must meet the required grading.
• Tax and registrations: Valid Tax Clearance (or proof of application) and SARS PIN; Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration or Unique Registration Reference; CIPC registration documents.
• BBBEE: Valid BBBEE status for bidder and subcontractors.
• Local content: Where applicable, complete annexures C/D/E with DTIC exemption and manufacturer letter.
• Site/qualifying criteria: Mandatory site visit 13 Oct 2026 11:00 at Armscor Dockyard, Simon’s Town; attendance must be recorded.
• Pricing/docs: Separate pricing attachment; quotation on company letterhead with item descriptions, units, and totals; clearly show Subtotal, VAT, Total.
• Compliance: Tax/compliance checks throughout evaluation; bid may be disqualified for non-compliance or abnormal pricing.

• Questions: Submit in writing at least three working days before closing to Procurement division; responses provided as per process.
• Submission method: Electronic submissions by email to Procurementdy@armscordy.co.za; PDFs must be secure and pricing in a separate attachment; submit at least one hour before closing to avoid delays.
• Required documents: CSD registration or Unique NRR, valid Tax Clearance, CIPC registration, BBBEE proof, CIDB registration, SARS PIN (if available), and the returnable annexure; include clearly marked RFQ number and bidder name (see RR69055/26-27).
