Overview

This RFQ seeks the appointment of a service provider to service and test hydrostatic pressure vessels for PRASA KZN. Bidders should have experience in hydrostatic testing with SANAS-certified equipment, be compliant with SARS tax/purchasing requirements (CSD and TCS where applicable), and be able to supply the required items in the Bill of Quantities for Durban RM Workshop and Springfield Depot.

Requirements

• Valid SARS Tax Clearance and SARS PIN/CSD registration (or CSD number if no PIN) per PRASA rules.
• SANAS certificates for all equipment to be tested.
• Pre-qualifying documents: valid CSD membership certificate; tax clearance; complete BOQ; Form D (signed/stamped); briefing register.
• Evidence of B-BBEE status (e.g., level 2 or better) and, if claiming specific goals, documentation for Black Youth Owned status.
• Joint Venture/Consortium/Subcontract agreements signed where applicable (leading bidder identified).
• Complete and submit all RFP documentation, including declarations; no unauthorised amendments.
• Provide delivery capacity for hydrostatic tests at the specified locations; comply with PRASA’s general purchase conditions and testing scope (includes AIR RECEIVERs, OIL SEPARATORS, etc.).
• Pricing aligned to the attached BOQ; adherence to 60-working-day validity, and payment terms (invoice on acceptance; 30 days after correct invoice).
