Overview

The Greater Kokstad Municipality invites bids to supply, deliver and install specialized Meranti hardwood flooring at the Town Hall (CIDB 2GB or higher). Bidders with timber flooring installation experience, compliance with health and safety standards, and CIDB registration should consider bidding. The process uses a two-stage evaluation (Functionality 60+ points to advance; 80/20 price and specific goals) and a 80/20 preference system.

Requirements

• CIDB grading: 2GB or higher. (GKM 03-26/27 TORs Rev1)
• Complete and return all Municipal Bid Documents (MBD), including MBD1–MBD9 as applicable.
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and copies; certified director IDs; company registration documents.
• For JV: CKs and joint venture agreements; signed affidavits where required.
• Tax clearance PIN and VAT/Tax verification status (MBD Part B).
• Proof of municipal rates or lease arrangements for directors/companies (not more than 90 days arrears).
• Letter of Good Standing with COIDA relevant to the scope of works; CIDB confirmation.
• Health and safety plan (to be produced by a registered practitioner) included in the bid.
• Site measurements; adherence to SANS, OHS Act, and municipal by-laws; retention period of 3 months with 10% holdback.
