SAWS invites bids to appoint a service provider to undertake the electrical upgrades of the Upper Air Room in Upington (RFQ 4659/26). Scope includes upgrading the Electrical Distribution Box, breakers, lighting and plugs, with a ceiling price up to R500 000 (VAT inclusive). Requirements

• Scope of work (Annex H): upgrade Distribution Box, specify enclosure, IP65 rating, breakers/leakage, and lighting/plugs; install outside solar floodlights; include spark-proof components as specified.
• Evidence of procurement registrations and compliance:
  • Registered on the Central Supplier Database or provide CSD number; tax/compliance verified (SARS PIN or TCS certificate) or CSD-based status; VAT registration number.
  • B-BBEE status level and proof (certificate or sworn affidavit) to claim specific goals.
• Bidding documents and forms:
  • Annexure A (invitation form), SBD 3.3 (Pricing Schedule), SBD 4 (Bidder’s Declaration), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Form), POPIA consent.
  • Pricing schedule with ceiling price and breakdown (Annexure G).
• Additional conditions:
  • Due diligence site visit and possible final presentation for shortlisted bidders; SLA to be concluded after award.
  • Subcontracting proof if JV/consortium; evidence of operational premises and accreditation.
  • Compliance with GCC; contract to be signed (SBD7) if awarded.
