APPOINTMENT OF A SERVICE PROVIDER TO UNDERTAKE WATER QUALITY MANAGEMENT FOR VARIOUS BUSINESS UNITS IN THE HIGHVELD REGION FOR A PERIOD OF SIX(6) MONTHS

Overview

Appointment of a service provider to undertake water quality management for SAFCOL's Highveld region for a period of six months. SAFCOL seeks a provider to manage potable and wastewater water quality across multiple plantations (e.g., Ngome, Roburnia, Jessievale, Nelshoogte, Berlin, Belfast, Lakenvlei, Uitsoek, Brooklands, etc.), delivering dosing equipment, chemical supply/topping up, sampling and laboratory analysis, on-site travel, and same-day residual testing, with monthly and quarterly reporting to business units and Infrastructure.

The contract requires compliance with Water Services Act and SANS 241, and delivery of results via SANAS-accredited laboratories or a validated lab arrangement. Bidders should demonstrate water quality management experience, CSD registration, tax clearance, SANAS accreditation or lab agreement, BBBEE documentation, two client references, and completion of the RFQ/NEC documentation. Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in water quality management for potable and wastewater and ability to test according to SANS 241.
• Provision of a simple chemical dosing mechanism and water treatment chemical supply/top-up, plus filtration where required.
• Monthly testing of main parameters and quarterly full analyses, with timely reporting to relevant business units; on-site travel between plantations.
• On-site chemical residual testing on the day of sampling.
• SANAS-accredited chemical analysis laboratory, or a valid agreement with a SANAS-registered laboratory; ability to provide monthly test results.
• Documentation: fully completed RFQ, company letterhead quotation, latest tax clearance, SANAS accreditation or third-party lab accreditation, SANAS lab contract (if applicable), CSD registration, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, SBD forms, NEC document, two reference letters.
• Compliance with POPIA, COIDA, labour and safety regulations with appropriate proof.
