Overview

Procurement of a service provider to perform intensive train cleaning and sanitisation for PRASA rolling stock at the Blue Shed, Braamfontein, South Gauteng Region, over 24 months. This RFQ targets cleaning/facilities providers with rail-cleaning experience, capable of daily interior/exterior cleaning, deep cleaning, sanitisation and infection-control for Yellow Trains/EMUs/MLPS, at Blue Shed. Special condition: HAND DELIVERY ONLY; submission due by 2026-09-07 12:00 to 30 Wolmarans Street, Umjantshi House, Braamfontein.

Requirements

• Minimum staffing of 14 personnel (13 cleaners + 1 supervisor) per day.
• Use of SABS/SANS-approved chemicals; on-site MSDS; non-corrosive to paint/equipment; no high-pressure spray on HV components.
• Compliance with statutory frameworks: OHS Act, Labour Relations Act, COIDA, National Environmental Management Act, National Railway Safety Regulator Act.
• On-site Health & Safety File: risk assessments, SWPs, PPE, induction, training records; site access approvals.
• Key documents: valid Tax Clearance, COIDA Letter, B-BBEE certificate, CSD reference, and proof of prior similar contracts (last 5 years) with letters of appointment/references.
• Pricing: inclusive, fixed multi-year pricing with Year 2 escalation; detailed BOQ (Year 1/Year 2) in the tender documents.
• Other: proper PPE, tools/equipment, incident/quality controls, and adherence to PRASA quality metrics.
