Overview

Appointment of a specialist consultant to establish and operationalize the International Office at Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT). The scope covers strategic advisory, policy development, capacity building and systems design for a fully functional International Office, including partnerships, mobility, funding opportunities and governance. Suitable bidders are consultants with extensive higher education internationalisation experience, capacity-building and project management skills, preferably with SA university experience and Erasmus+/Horizon Europe knowledge. BBBEE 80/20 applies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in higher education internationalisation
• Proven track record establishing or strengthening university international offices
• Knowledge of the DHET Policy Framework for Internationalisation (2020)
• Experience within South African higher education institutions
• Expertise in Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programmes
• Track record securing or supporting international funding proposals
• Experience facilitating executive/institutional workshops
• Knowledge of international policy, governance and partnership management
• Experience with Universities of Technology is advantageous
• Mandatory documentation: RFQ compliance, company registration (CIPC or MUT vendor), valid SARS Tax Compliance Status; BBBEE certificate for preference; CSD number optional
