Overview

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment invites bids for appointing an independent service provider to conduct an assessment of government undertakings and commitments under the Forest Sector Code for a period of three (3) months. Bidders should have expertise in governance/BBBEE reporting, forest sector policy, and delivering a completeness ratio framework plus a consolidated final report and presentation (for FSCC engagement).

Requirements

• Valid tax compliance or SARS PIN and CSD registration/number.
• BBBEE status verification (SANAS or CIPC certificate) or sworn affidavit.
• Completion of all standard bidding documents (SBD1, SBD3.3, SBD4, SBD6.1) and Annexures.
• CVs for the proposed Project Team Leader and team members (Annexure B).
• Letter of Authority to sign documents; respect for joint ventures/consortia if applicable.
• Attendance at the compulsory briefing session (02 Sep 2026, 10:00–11:30 via MS Teams).
• Consent/Indemnity (Annexure C) and alignment with POPIA/privacy considerations.
• A detailed project plan with milestones, methodology, and a pricing schedule (Annexure A) including a full cost breakdown; price validity of 120 days.
• Demonstrated B-BBEE capability and relevant experience in BBBEE-related work.
