Overview

The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) invites bids for the provision of 36 months pond maintenance services at Groenkloof. The scope covers two ponds (rehabilitation, restocking of koi, and routine maintenance) plus training/oversight of a gardening contractor. Eligible bidders should have koi pond experience, water quality monitoring capability, and be able to provide required documentation: CSD registration report, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, and a Non-disclosure Agreement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with koi/ornamental ponds or similar live-fish systems; at least 3 similar projects in the last 5 years with client references.
• Proven water quality monitoring capability (pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Water Temperature) with documentary evidence.
• Ability to execute: two pond rehabilitation, full koi restocking, routine maintenance, and oversight/training of gardening contractors.
• Compliance with safety and environmental regulations; confidentiality obligations; verification rights by SABS.
• Submit required documents: CSD registration report, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, and Non-disclosure Agreement.
