Appointment of Travel Management Company to provide travel management services to the South African Weather Service (SAWS) for a 36-month period. Bidders with government/travel management experience, strong online booking capabilities, and compliance credentials are encouraged to bid.

Requirements

• Demonstrated travel management experience with a company profile showing years in the sector.
• References from existing or recent clients (within 5 years) with 6,000+ annual transactions and 400+ employees.
• Evidence of an Online Travel Booking System in use for at least 5 years (customer testimonials/letters).
• Capable after-hours and emergency travel support (24/7/365) with documented SOPs.
• Ability to consolidate all travel invoices, provide a transition plan, and minimize service interruptions.
• Compliance: tax compliance (SARS), registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD); each party in a consortium must be CSD-registered.
• POPIA/privacy consent and data processing for supplier information; confidentiality obligations.
• Fraud/fronting safeguards and adherence to GCC; ability to submit required bid documentation and participate in gate-by-gate evaluations.
