Overview

Appointment of a turnkey contractor for the design and construction of a pre-thickener and rehabilitation of digester 5&6 staircase (18 months). Open to competent contractors with CIDB 6CE or higher, plus required engineering professionals (ECSA-registered) and BBBEE participation goals.

Requirements

• Active CIDB grading of 6CE or higher.
• Project team: Civil (Structural) Engineer/Technologist, Mechanical Engineer/Technologist, Chemical Engineer/Technologist (all ECSA-registered).
• At least 35% Contract Participation Goals (CPG): 25% local area operations, 10% local/TARGETED enterprise participation; sign CPG declaration.
• Minimum functionality score of 70 points; evaluation combines Functionality, Price and Preference (80/20 or 90/10 depending on contract value).
• Provide proof for preference goals (HDI/Black-owned or Black women ownership) as required; submit related certificates or sworn affidavits.
• Submit Tax Clearance Status, CSD report, COID good standing, Company Registration, CIDB certificate, and evidence to claim preference.
• Compulsory clarification meeting; no alternatives accepted.
• Two-envelope tender process not applicable; submit original plus one USB copy; bind volumes as issued.
• Access to site for inspections/tests; deposit may be required for tender documents.
