Overview

Procurement of an electrical contractor to supply and deliver a 1000KVA x 1 mini substation for CRUs and to supply, deliver and install 5 x 500KVA mini substations at specified Kokstad sites. Suitable bidders are electrical contractors with CIDB 5EP (or higher) and proven experience in mini-substation projects, including delivery, installation and commissioning; must meet tax, BBBEE and local procurement requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB Grade: 5EP or higher.
• Experience: demonstrated ability with mini substations; lead engineer (ECSA-registered) and project manager with relevant projects.
• Compliance: valid tax clearance, SARS PIN, CSD registration, VAT, Workmen’s Compensation.
• Documentation: complete MBD forms (MBD1, MBD2, MBD3.1/3.2/3.3, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9) and supporting records; CIDB certificates; BBBEE status.
• Municipal compliance: proof of municipal rates for company and each director (or approved alternative) not older than 3 months.
• Returnable documents: CSD print (not older than 3 months) or CSD number; CIDB; SARS TCS; company/director details; site visitation records.
• Procurement rules: 80/20 preferences with specific goals (ownership by black entities, RDP goals) and detailed verification docs.
