Overview

Appointment of an Electrical Contractor to supply, deliver and install 1 high mast at Emoyeni 2 for Greater Kokstad Municipality. Bidders must hold CIDB 2EP or higher and meet municipal procurement, tax and BBBEE requirements; compulsory briefing and site visit apply. Requirements

• CIDB grading: 2EP or higher; CIDB registration certificates for all parties if JV.
• Tax and compliance: SARS Tax Clearance (TCS PIN) or equivalent; CSD number if no TCS; proof of non-arrears for company and directors; VAT registration; Workman’s Compensation.
• Returnable documents: MBD forms (at least MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9), CIDB certificates, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, JV agreements if applicable, company registrations.
• Locality checks: proof that company and directors do not owe municipal rates/taxes for more than 90 days (and accompanying documentation for directors).
• Site/contract prerequisites: compulsory site inspection/briefing; attendance must be recorded; written contract on MBD7 if successful.
• Documentation download: tender documents must be downloaded from the municipality website; ensure all pages are complete (no retyping).
• Evaluation prerequisites: minimum functionality score of 60 to progress; 80/20 price and preferences upon Stage 2; specific goals documentation for ownership and RDP goals.

• Compulsory briefing: 05 October 2026 at 11h00, Adam Kok III Building, 75 Hope Street; attendance is mandatory.
• Submission: sealed bids in the bid box at 75 Hope Street, Kokstad; closing date 15 October 2026 at 12:00. No post or late submissions.
• Documents to submit: official bid documents (MBD forms and returnable schedules), CSD print if TCS not attached, SARS PIN, CIDB certificate, BBBEE certificate, VAT and WCA documents, company/director details; JV documentation if applicable.
