Overview

Appointment of an Environmental Assessment Practitioner for the required environmental approval process for housing development and associated infrastructure. Bergrivier Municipality invites bids from suitably qualified and experienced service providers (Environmental Planning/Management; EAP qualifications) to manage the environmental approvals for housing development and related infrastructure.

Requirements

• Suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Assessment Practitioner as defined in the tender/specifications.
• CIDB grading: NO level or category required.
• Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submission of Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN/CSD number; SARS/VAT considerations where applicable.
• Submission of an originally certified B-BBEE Certificate or B-BBEE Sworn Affidavit; 80/20 preference points (price/PPP) plus 10 for specific goals and 10 for BBBEE.
• Tender documents must include all MBD forms (MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9, MBD10), Pricing Schedule, Form of Offer, and Declaration by Tenderer.
• Compulsory clarification meeting and site briefing attendances are mandatory.
• Tender validity: 120 days from closing date; prices inclusive of VAT.
• Late, faxed, or email quotations will not be accepted.

• Submission deadline: 14 September 2026, 12:00; bids in sealed envelopes in the Tender Box at Bergrivier Municipal Offices, 13 Kerk Street, Piketberg 7320 (not by post or email). Doors open for bid opening in public. (see T8/3/43-2026 MN161-2026 Merged.pdf)
• Briefing/site meeting: compulsory on 26 August 2026 at 14:00 at Bergrivier Municipal Offices, Velddrif (134 Voortrekker Road, Velddrif 7365). Doors close at 14:10; entry after that time not allowed. (see attached)

• Documents to complete and submit: official bid forms including MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9, MBD 10, Pricing Schedule, Form of Offer, Declaration by Tenderer, Authority to Sign, and any required certificates.
