Overview

Appointment of an Environmental Consultant to Draft an Alien Invasive Plant Species Management Plan for the Msunduzi Municipality. This call targets environmental consultants with AIS/NEMBA expertise, SACNASP-registered professionals (Environmental Scientist, Biodiversity Specialist), GIS capability, and pest-control/PCO credentials; must have CSD and SARS tax clearances and capacity for GIS mapping and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

• Mandatory professional qualifications: SACNASP-registered Professional Environmental Scientist (Project Leader); SACNASP-registered Professional Biodiversity Specialist; Registered Pest Control Operator (PCO) certificate; SAGC registration for GIS Practitioner; and a PCO certificate for herbicide/weed control.
• Mandatory registrations/compliance: valid Tax Clearance with SARS PIN; CSD Supplier Number and Unique Registration Reference Number.
• Evaluation: Two-stage process – Stage 1 Functionality (40+20 points for Project Team) with a 45-point threshold; Stage 2 80/20 Preferential Points (BOE 10, Women 5, Location 5 via CSD).
• Compliance: adherence to OHS Act, COID, LR Act, BCEA, VAT, and relevant environmental laws (NEMBA/NEMA/CARA); quality controls and documentation as per tender.
• Experience/documentation: signed client reference letters; CVs for key staff; demonstrated AIS/MAP/n environmental project experience.
