Overview

The NRWDI seeks to appoint a suitably qualified Occupational Medical Practitioner to provide occupational health services for NRWDI staff at the Vaalputs facility, Northern Cape, for a 2-year term, billed at agreed hourly rates. Bidders should be service providers with MBChB or equivalent, HPCSA registration, a specialised occupational medicine qualification (DOM/ postgraduate diploma or master’s), and at least 3 years’ occupational health experience, preferably based in Springbok or surrounding Northern Cape areas.

Requirements

• Medical qualification: MBChB or equivalent
• Registration: HPCSA
• Specialised training in Occupational Medicine: Diploma/postgraduate diploma or Master’s
• Knowledge of OH legislation: OHSA, COIDA, LRA, EEA
• Experience: minimum 3 years in workplace health assessments, incapacity management, medical surveillance
• Availability and delivery timescales
• Quotation per medical assessment
• Evidence: ID copies of owners/directors, valid HPCSA registration, three reference letters on client letterhead
• Tax/compliance: tax matters in order; BBBEE certificate or affidavit
• CSD registration (Central Supplier Database) and ISO 9001:2015 status (indicate if certified)
• Complete SBD forms (SBD 4 & 6.1) and submit with quotation
• Compliance with the 80/20 Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022 (specific goals)
