Overview

This tender seeks to appoint a financial expert to provide financial management support to Impendle Local Municipality on behalf of the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA). Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of MFMA, DoRA, VAT Act, Tax Administration Act, Municipal Property Rates Act, and GRAP/MSCOA.
• Ability to produce GRAP-compliant interim/financial statements, audit response plans, reconciliations, and progress reports.
• Demonstrated capacity to work on governance/financial viability recovery projects and provide target-driven deliverables; provide references from municipalities (last 3 years).
• On-site capacity: expected to be based full-time at the municipality; delivery within agreed timeframes; remuneration aligned with AG Tariff where applicable.
• Tax compliance requirements: SARS PIN or TCS; CSD registration if no TCS PIN; VAT where applicable; proof of tax and supplier registrations (SARS, CSD, etc.).
• B-BBEE: provide relevant B-BBEE documentation; the form supports preference points for specific goals.
