Overview

Procurement of up to four Travel Management Companies to provide travel and accommodation management services to Vaal Central Water for a three-year period. Open to Travel Management Companies with domestic/international travel management capabilities, IATA/ASATA accreditation (or valid contract with a registered partner), 24/7 after-hours service, and ability to deliver end-to-end travel coordination (air, accommodation, car rental, shuttle, conferences) (Tender advert.pdf).

Requirements

• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration with valid tax compliance PIN; proof of SARS status for each party in a consortium; signed SBDs 1, 3.1, 4; pricing and disclosures; Annexures A/B; annual financial statements; municipal clearance or lease evidence; good standing letter from the Department of Labour; returnable documents.
• Proof of ASATA/IATA accreditation or written agreement with a registered holder; if using a 3rd party license, include governing agreement and accreditation certificate.
• Minimum financial capacity: bank statement showing at least R150,000 credit balance or funding commitment.
• Compliance requirements include no tender defaulter listing, declaration of interest, CSD full report, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and other pre-qualifications listed in the bid.
• Functionality criterion: minimum 70/100 to qualify for price/preference evaluation; criteria include experience, client testimonials, key team CVs (Account Manager, Senior Travel Consultant), youth travel consultants, transition plan, reservations/process methodology, communication, and cost management approach.
