APPOINTMENT OF PANEL OF CONTRACTORS FOR THE CIVIL ENGINEERING AND BUILDING WORKS IN THE NDLAMBE AREA FOR THREE YEARS

Overview

Appointment of a panel of contractors for civil engineering and building works in the Ndlambe area for three years. Ndlambe Local Municipality invites CIDB-registered bidders to form a panel (Packages A and B) for as-needed works over up to 36 months. Suitable bidders include civil engineering and general building contractors with CIDB CE (Panel 1) and GB (Panel 2) levels or higher, who may bid solo or as a joint venture.

Requirements

• CIDB pre-qualification: active CE (Panel 1) and GB (Panel 2) (or higher); JV allowed if CIDB requirements are met.
• Pre-qualification documentation: MBD4, MBD5, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9; B-BBEE documentation; Municipal Billing Clearance; CSD supplier number; tax reference/PIN or TCC; compliance with procurement policies.
• Evaluation: minimum functionality of 70%; Package A focuses on Resource Capability; Package B on Related Experience, Resource Capability, and Health and Safety Officer.
• Pricing: 80/20 price vs. specific goals; prices must be VAT inclusive and valid for the period.
• Contracting framework: rotation/ambulatory assignment, open panel with periodic revisions; adherence to GCC, SANS/SAICE/JBCC standards.
• Documentation must be on official Ndlambe bid documents; hard copies available for a deposit (see below).
