Overview

JB Marks Local Municipality seeks to appoint a panel of service providers to hire plant and equipment on an as-and-when-required basis for twelve months. The scope covers a range of construction equipment (e.g., asphalt milling machines, loaders, pavers, rollers, water tankers, graders, TLBs, trucks and allied attachments) to be supplied on a hire basis, with operators and maintenance if applicable.

Requirements

• Proven ability to provide well-maintained plant and fully operational equipment, with qualified operators where required.
• Compliance with safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements, including maintenance, fuel, insurance, and on-site risk management.
• Valid CIDB registration and appropriate grading, plus registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) or a valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN (with separate TCS/PIN for each consortium member, if applicable).
• Returnable documents: Company profile, CK registration, CIDB registration, CSD number, valid tax clearance, and proof of B-BBEE status; three or more years’ audited financials may be requested; proof of previous similar projects.
• Commitment to procurement policy: Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022 (80/20 system), with 20 points for specific goals (HDI, youth, female, disabled, etc.) and documentation to substantiate claims.
